LGBTQ+ Activism
The History of LGBTQ+ Activism in America
This year, I chose to develop my own course with a teacher. I wanted to learn more about LGBTQ+ studies. For my study, I am tracing queer activism from Stonewall to the current day. I am also focusing on how gay culture grew from activism. I am studying the oppression of queer people and how people developed a community despite their repression. For my final project, I chose to create a documentary about LGBTQ+ activism and culture.

STEMM Project
University Hospitals, Summer 2017
In my sophomore and junior year, I took a night STEMM class through my school. For this course, every student does a 160+ hour project. For my research I worked with an orthopedic surgeon to develop a psychology study. We researched how internet research affects patients' responses to their physicians. I collected data through surveys and also conducted interviews with patients and their family members.
